A Time for Everything

I know my trials and tribulations are nothing in comparison to what other people are battling today. I know that my lack of sleep is not the end of the world. I know that my job as a mom is precious and I try very hard to not take any of it for granted.

I thought about the verses from Ecclesiastes about there being a time for everything...

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

I really needed it to say somewhere "A time for sickness and then a long time with no sickness at all for anyone in the family."

Yeah, it didn't though. And so I am at home with a sick, sick little girl who keeps tossing her cookies--only she didn't have any cookies--every 20 minutes.

  1. Read that passage myself this morning. Timely

  2. One of my favorite passages, we read this at my brother's funeral and played the song by The Byrds. So true, you can really take it to heart. Hope your little one gets to feeling better!
